Simple Gaget Pouch Tutorial
Super Simple Gadget Pouch Tutorial
I don't know about you but it is that time of year to go through the closet & it never fails there will be a sweater that has shrunk or one you just don't love to wear any more (or doesn't fit, did I say that?). Well here is a perfect little tutorial I came across that you can make a simple gadget pouch for your i pod, cell phone or even camera.... Super simple & cute! I must give this one a try, after I clean out the closet that is.
Do you love sewing simple? I hate cleaning the closets what about you?

Paper Mache Clay Recipe
The Ultimate Paper Mache This is a web site I came across that has many tutorials and how to make your own paper mache clay. It seems like you can manipulate this mix better than just paper mache. Jonni Good is an artist who took her dream of creating and now is making a living with making web sites and writing books. Here is a book she wrote on the subject:Make Animal Sculptures with Paper Mache Clay. Jonni's tutorials seem clear and easy to follow and for anyone just getting started with trying to sculpt you might like to visit her web site.
As for me my snowmen are dry and ready for some paint and decorating! Let the fun begin~ I am looking forward to sharing them completed. I hope you are enjoying your weekend~

Paper clay Inspiration & WIP Stone Clay
Holiday Sparkle
Holiday Sparkle
Polka Dot Pixie
Snippet Girl
It is hard to believe that these creations started out like mine here. I can only hope my little snowmen come out as nice as my inspiration that I have found. Yes I used Styrofoam for the core of these! I am hoping to get done in time to enter the best of my creations in the contest from DYI Dish. All the information is in the previous post if you are up to a fall challenge. The craft store was out of paper clay the day I was looking for it and I ended up using Premier a light weight stone clay by La Doll luckily I had a coupon because I think it is $4. more per package comparing the two. But I must say I loved using it! The ease of putting it on, the smoothness and it allows time to manipulate prior to drying, just air dries. Yes, I may have found a new muse! I can't wait for them to dry so I can doll them up! & I am wanting to get more to make some ornaments! I promise to show you as I go along. Sorry this pic isn't the greatest it is from my cell phone as I need to charge my camera and put in a new memory stick.
Have you worked with paper clay or stone clay? Have you made ornaments of any type? What are some of your favorite materials?

Halloween Inspiration & Illustration
It is the perfect time of year for searching out the best pumpkin in the patch! Have you picked out yours yet? We always drive out to our local pumpkin patch and wander through getting a small wagon and letting Sammie pick out her special pumpkin (s). Then we go over to the corn maze and run around playing hide and seek until we find each other and our way out. I am hoping the weather will cool down a bit so we can make our way over there sometime during the weekend. When I do I will replace my Little Witchy Poo with a picture of Sammie for her scrapbook. I thought I would share my Little Witchy Poo Illustration with you, there is more about it on my other blog.
Have you gone to the pumpkin patch yet? Do you have a trip planned?
We truly enjoy Halloween around here. How about you?
When witches go riding,
and black cats are seen,
the moon laughs and whispers,
‘tis near Halloween.

Styrofoam Crafts
Halloween Inspiration~
Oh hello friends, yes I am always looking for inspiration and as you know on the web it's sources are never ending. I had to share this as I was at Michaels' the other day and yes of all things I bought some round Styrofoam balls. What for ever did you say? Well I saw a tutorial for some vintage Christmas decorations and I thought I must give it a try!
Sometimes I think that is part of my problem I am the proverbial craft junkie always hopping from idea to idea. So here is another example of hopping on another idea for Styrofoam balls and Halloween & Christmas ideas. Of course I almost got a cone or two when I was there thinking Christmas trees but I didn't purchase them and now I will have to return to pick up some other shapes~
Any way, I hope you enjoy the video and if you enter their contest I would love to see what you make so don't forget to tell me about it because I know you are crafty ladies & of course gents too! When my projects are done I promise to post them!
Have you crafted with Styrofoam? What did you make? Do you think you will enter the contest? I would love to know~
& a pdf tutorial: http://www.thediydish.com/promo/theDIYdish_Floracraft_MakeItFun.pdf
