May today find you planning for Sunday with a spot of raspberry tea. Hoping the weather is good enough to enjoy the outdoors in a garden watching children finding Easter eggs after spending some time in the kitchen. Remembering how Easter can be a fantasy for children and adults alike. Later in the evening I hope you find time to relax by leaning on a most beautiful pillow reminiscing about the day. It is Tea Cup Tuesday and Easter is Sunday~ So I wish you all a garden full of enjoyment followed by a relaxing evening today and especially on Easter ~

Easter spells out beauty, the rare beauty of new life. ~S.D. Gordon

Pink Flowers in Spring

Glorious pink flowers are blooming. I am hoping to get a chance to visit some local botanical gardens and take some more photographs of flowers. I am in love with spring, my camera and flowers. I guess I will have to tell my hubby, but I think he already knows! This is my color inspiration for today~ What are you in love with this spring? What colors inspire your creativity?

Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night. ~Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters of Rainer Maria Rilke

Spring Time Dreams

1. Butterfly portrait, 2. Pink and Green, 3. 和谐 - symbiosis, 4. Dare Digital: Girl with Fairies

I rested my head for a moment for thoughts had been whirling around and around. They weren't stopping, I just wanted a little peace like when I was a child. I closed my eyes dream pt of butterflies and fairies~
They just carried my thoughts away and I felt at peace and when I awoke I was refreshed and filled only of images of pink, yellow and green ~ Now I am inspired to create again. Do you ever have one of those days when you think too much?
There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again. ~Elizabeth Lawrence

Tea Cup Tuesday

* Tea Bag Image from Two Leaves and A Bud Tea Company
This china is Gold Castle made in Japan. I love it for its color and for the fact is was my moms. It might of been given to her from my grandma but I am not 100% sure. I know it is a bit worn but I love it all the same. It is demitasse size. Whether for coffee or for tea I hold it dear. I tried to find anything like it on the web with no luck. So if you know more about this china please contact me as I would love to know more. For a tea to drink in this cup I would choose a Darjeeling tea. Darjeeling Tea is the world’s most expensive and exotically flavoured tea. Its flavors change with the seasons. The link takes you to the history should you be inclined to know more. I found this tea quote and I thought I would share it with you.
"A woman is like a tea bag, you can't tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water." author unknown
By the way do you like the black leaf or green leaf Darjeeling tea? My favorite is the black leaf.
Should you wish to participate the link to tea cup Tuesday is on the side bar. ~Thanks for stopping by.

Romantic Vintage Parasols

All Image Credits To Bella Umbrella and their photographers

When it comes to the heat all ladies need a little shade and what better way to feel refined and protected from the sun than a vintage parasol. Yes there is air conditioning and staying indoors but when you want a sense of a romantic spring or a summer day reading books or just wandering outside you know you need a parasol to fit those needs! My heart skipped a beat when I saw these images of ladies and their parasols. How I long to be a lady of leisure with my parasol by my side. Should you want to find a parasol to fit your needs try Bella Umbrella.
The Parasol Is The Umbrella's Daughter By Emily Dickinson
The parasol is the umbrella's daughter,
And associates with a fan
While her father abuts the tempest
And abridges the rain.

The former assists a siren
In her serene display;
But her father is borne and honored,
And borrowed to this day.

When I think of tea cups I think of my mom. How we loved to sit and play a game of scrabble drink tea and let the kids pull tiles from the bag. Special times were had with tea and cookies. This Tuesday I tip my tea cup to all you ladies and gentlemen who visit. I can't wait to visit and see what tea cups you fancy and what tea is your favorite. By the way one of my favorite teas is Pomegranate Blueberry. Do let me know your favorite tea! I'll have to hunt up some of my tea cups for next week.

Spring Flowers

I can almost touch it! Spring right at our door step. I can feel the earth changing with the sun trying to make days longer and brightening my home indoors. It is also the time of year to renew and energize yourself, your home and start new projects. A yearning for changes. I can't wait to get back and show you how spring will influence my home life. A time of change is ahead, then straight outside with the beautiful weather that is coming. Don't forget to change your clocks Saturday night March 13 for the time change March 14th at 2:00am!

My favorite weather is bird-chirping weather. ~Loire Hartwould
