Oh hello Tea Tuesday & friends~ I found a teacup pin cushion in leopard and if you read my previous post you may know why I love this today. In a word leopard. Then another crafty inspiration was this cute sewing catch all, for all the things we use usually need for a project! I didn't find a pattern yet but if I do I will share it with you. And who wouldn't love to give a gift to a tea lover with a gift tag like this? I so want to make some! My post will be short today as I have been suffering with migraines & if you ever have had them you know they can be a huge detour in your day. So you will find me back in bed and sipping on tea until my next post~
What crafty things have you been doing lately? Do you ever get migraines? I hope not!
You can find my tea cup pin cushion post here with a link to a tutorial (Post with examples) or if you rather just straight to the tutorial~

Leopard print is back and better than ever~ Oh, but if you prefer you can find some retro Leopard print too! You can find Leopard print just about everywhere right now! If you have anything Leopard you should never get rid of it! It will come in style again and again. Whether you wear it in your hair, as makeup, carry your little bag, jump into your sassy pumps to rain boots or down to your toes with socks, it will rein again! And again!
One reason why is Leopard print has always been a fabric or back then fur associated with status, but only becoming popular in the 1960's in America. Does that ring a bell for anyone?
Well all I know is that I love, love, love it and so do my girls! My favorite fall leopard item this year is this pair of rain boots by Chloe~ I can see myself in the outfit hiking over to pick up Sammie from school on any rainy day. But wait if that doesn't suit you just follow this fashion link to Leopard Print Fashions 2010 a mere 4million images to choose from! And if you think this Leopard stops at this post~ U mm, think again I might have some crafty and decoration inspiration coming to you soon via Leopard print! What is your favorite fall fashion this year? I am waiting to hear! If you have something really sassy to show me don't forget to leave the link~

DIY Glass Domes
I came across this You Tube Video tutorial about creating with glass domes. I was very inspired and it makes me want to create at least one if not more. Here are two sites that sell them. Glassdomes.com and Glassdomesandbelljars.com. (These aren't the home pages but pages relevant to purchasing of glass domes.) Be careful some sites sell the base and dome top separate. You can Google search which comes up with tons of sites and wholesale suppliers too~ Last year I posted a Halloween tutorial where they used glass domes and created displays. You can really get creative for decorating for seasonal holidays, displaying found objects, special dolls, teacups and various other things~ So I hope you get creative and are inspired to create your own glass dome display. Have you ever created crafts with glass domes? Do you display anything you value with glass domes? Do tell~

Sewing Love "Learning to Sew"
Oh we have been busy this summer, as you know mostly with wedding things but we managed to get a little sewing lesson in. Is it ever to early to learn to sew? I remember my grandma teaching me had sewing and embroidery at a very young age. I think Sammie being *8yr. old is a perfect age. She can listen, has patience and is willing~ So we made our way to one of the only fabric stores around & they have a online store too! The Fabric Worm I love their selection although some fabric can be pricey. We found some remnants that fit the bill for some small projects which included the skirt we made. I didn't use a pattern so I measured her with the fabric and thought about its construction then we we're on our way. She watched and then when we were ready to sew sat down on my lap and I helped guide her for her hand placement. (I also have a speed control on my machine, which is excellent for teaching ) She did the foot pedal and the sewing with a little guidance. I can't wait to do some more kid projects with her and share~ But if you want to get started here is a book you might use for project ideas and learning exercises, "Sewing Machine Fun For Kids" Now that we have some more inspiration for easy projects I can see us setting more time aside for Sammie's continued learning & growing her love of sewing~What age did you learn to sew? Its never to late if you haven't started! PS If you do already sew here is a pattern from the Fabric Worm ( Bandeau Romper) that I found when looking around their website. I will have more yummy sewing ideas and links coming soon~And do come back Tuesday for a giveaway that is starting! I know you'll want to sign up for it!
